I received the Earthling Award as I was graduating from college, which was a significant time of transition for me. Since then, I have been stretching every morning- mostly trying to keep my balance- letting the wind shake my leaves but not uproot me. This year I've been keeping a "what I learned today" journal. I learned about the potential of nutritional healing and about being brave and flexible and trusting the unknown.

I've lived in several U.S. cities while house-sitting and made documentaries about various people learning new things- senior citizens learning how to use the internet, children learning how to practice yoga, and housewives learning how to communicate with their pets. A lot of trying and a lot of sharing went on in these movies. Right now I'm doing a residency in Anacortes, WA and have reached a new found state of comfort here, going on hikes and swimming across lakes alone- really letting Mother Nature embrace me.
