Dad's Eye Patch

When my dad was sixteen he was washing dishes and decided to fill an Alka Seltzer bottle with water and put the lid back on. He watched it fizz until it exploded and filled his face with glass. He lost one eye. It was pretty excruciating all of the ensuing operations and everything. He has a glass eye now, but at various times in his life he has worn a patch like this one. Sometimes when I was a kid I would wear one of his patches just to try to see what it was like to only having one eye.
